Door Care and Warranty

All our wood is kiln-dried to the proper moisture content. We use a vinyl-based sealer and then finish your doors with a catalyzed lacquer top coat that helps protect them from moisture. We also use rubber rods inside the styles and rails to help control expansion. However, as with all wood products in your home or business, it is essential to maintain a constant 40 to 50 per cent humidity to avoid moisture related problems which could result in shrinking, cracking or other problems.

When cleaning your doors, simply dust them like you would any wood furniture. Never use chemicals to clean or polish the doors – and when removing dirt, use a slightly damp cloth and then immediately dry the area using a clean, soft cloth

Everything we make has a one-year limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects. This warranty is limited to the cost of the defective product. It doesn’t cover finishing, installation, or removal costs, travel time, or labour.

K.C. Doors will not be responsible for damage caused by improper storage, finishing or handling. Credit or replacement will be issued subject to our inspection.

Upon receiving your doors, check your order for any shipping damage and let us know immediately of any problems. If you ordered unfinished doors, these should be finished as soon as possible with a good sealer to avoid any humidity-related issues such as warping, twisting or shrinking.
